Bathroom Overhauls Home Renovations Kitchen Makeovers Owner Builders Yarraville
Pink and green shouldn’t be seen. Keep consistent neutral colours throughout the house. Keep study areas tucked away. Windows don’t work in showers. Design for sale, not for you….
This one broke all the rules and somehow it works perfectly! Very custom designed to suit the Owners’ stylish tastes, it was a blessing to be involved with such a detailed project.
Working under the existing roof line, the home was mostly guttered internally apart from the front two original rooms which were refreshed and fitted with new doors. The front led light windows was lovingly restored and incredible light fittings bring life to dinner parties like no other.
New hardwood flooring lines the mixed timber and concrete subfloors of various extensions in the past and brings the home into unison. The hallway reading nook and linen storage are perfectly aligned with overhead cube boxes mirroring each other. His and Hers matching joinery sets line the walk-in robe adding character and colour to an often-neglected space.
The kitchen’s mixed colour use, bright green tiles and integrated study with hidden cat door make for a unique but very functional and beautiful kitchen you don’t want to leave. The extra wide stone bench allows for a breakfast bar and additional storage underneath and a gas lift window opens to blend the inside with outside for perfect entertaining events.
The main bathroom was not spared of expense featuring a full length shower screen, light mounted on the mirror and imported teal tile. Full length strip drain to the shower and bath wet area are both stylish and functional as is the stunning prism glass by Axess glass to the sashless and fixed plane window.
There’s no risk of a peeping Tom in the ensuite either with a unique floor window allows bringing in natural light and ventilation. Vibrant coral-coloured tiles line with feature wall with an inset storage cupboard and custom vanity to complete the piece.
Many windows were replaced and the exterior was repainted creating a striking façade. And of course no weatherboard cottage is complete with the customary white picket fence.
